The Wife has come down with the virus I thought was hay fever. I’m trying to read the Fortune 500 issue of the eponymous mag, but can’t keep my eyes off Nikki Cox‘s botched plastic surgery on Ghost Whisperer. So far, they’re playing down the famous cleavage, but there’s no hiding that permanently swollen upper lip.
Dane Cook escapes eternal consignment to the Comedy Hall of Shame for simply being untalented. Time will not judge Jay Mohr so kindly.
The Vampire show is on CBS, now. I can’t even be in the same room with that rotten shit.
Numb3rs comes up next. There’s a hoot. The brain dead demo that just vegged through Ghost Whisperer and the vampire thing is gonna soak up some pseudo-mathematic claptrap acted by a bunch of mooks who can barely keep their index fingers out of their nostrils while on camera. No wonder Obama‘s about to be elected POTUS. He could guest star on Cold Case or Without a Trace and seal the deal.
I had to go by the TV to get to the kitchen. My brain briefly turned to clabber. I thought about buying a new SUV.
The Vampire show just ended. He’s still conflicted about having sex with a non-vampire. These are all really good reasons why al Qaeda threw in the towel over here.
It’s back to American Dynasty for me. You gotta read this:
In 2001, when the terrorists of 9/11 crashed two aircraft into the twin towers of the WTC, security was being handled by Securacom (now Stratasec), a firm that from 1993 – 2000 had Marvin Bush as a director and major shareholder. In 1997, security contracts with the WTC and Washington’s Dulles Airport, brought in 75 percent of Securacom’s revenues. A third situation, more ambiguous in import, involved the role of the Carlyle Group as an interface between its top managers and advisers – GHWB, James A. Baker III, and Frank Carlucci – and the rich ($12 billion) Saudi bin Laden family, with whom they met frequently as late as 1999-2001. What influence the bin Ladens applied for what purpose remains conjecture.
Charles Freeman, president of the Middle East Policy Council and a former U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia, has said of the relationship, “If ever there were any company closely connected to the U.S. and its presence in Saudi Arabia, it’s the bin Laden Group. They’re the establishment Osama’s trying to overthrow.”
That point has always suck out to me. Those that think the US corporations need to be reigned in would probably be on OBL’s side of the lines in the sand.
Yeah, someone should go to jail over this.
OT, but I just noticed you’ve got Abu Muqawwma on your blogroll.
I’m a regular reader of Laura Rozen at warandpiece.com and she recently pointed to it.
Got any impressions you’d share ?
These guys rock! I stumbled across them about a month ago. Everyday brings a new revelation.
She used to be so pretty, not sure why she had to get surgery….
