Here’s the website.
From Susan Wloszczyna at USA Today:
Nicolas Cage graciously dropped out of The Wrestler after director Darren Aronofsky, who was pushed to cast a bigger name, had a change of heart and returned to his original choice. Alec Baldwin, who barely knows Rourke, hosted a screening. Four-time co-star Christopher Walken just interviewed him for a magazine. Sean Penn, a potential best-actor rival for Milk who directed Rourke in The Pledge, offered his support. Bruce Springsteen contributed an end-credit song, gratis. Retired wrestlers Rowdy Roddy Piper and Duane “The Rock” Johnson have sung his praises.
I can’t find the Walken interview.
Once, our hearts were young and gay.
Before Mickey became the object of humorous deprecation:
Mick still lives with me. Out of necessity. You want some more Latin? “Dementia pugilistica.” Sounds like one of Caesar’s girlfriends or the name of a gaudy shrub, but it’s actually the sad, sad aftereffect of Mick’s tragic infatuation with the squared circle. He wanders around under the mango trees, in his rollerblades and bikini briefs, feinting and bobbing and occasionally pawing at the cobwebs, to remove them from the foliage. And of course, the cobwebs aren’t really there. Any more than the giant orange hamster named “Morris” that dances in the living room of the caretaker’s shack while Mick hangs from his gravity boots, trying to watch MTV Cribs.
