Ben Hur

My fave movie always has been and always will be Ben Hur. I watch it every year and we made it home from my brother’s in time to catch the last couple of hours.

We always go where the kids are and since we weren’t toting the 100 year old we had the opp to visit my family. We hung out with my brother’s delightful two year old grandson and my Mom. We played with toys, ate too much and drove home before we fell asleep.

I finished God’s Little Acre and started The Road. I’ll need a Lit class to understand each. Good stuff.

My Mom is reading Doris Kearns Goodwin‘s Team of Rivals. I’ll probably read it next. We joked over some excellent lasagna that if Uncle Tom Obama were to be re-elected, it would probably be by Republicans. He is half-white, after all.
