Defense of the constitution, individual rights and smaller government are also tenets of the GOP.

I have attended numerous GOP functions. Not once is the Constitution mentioned. It gets in their way. If they took the oath seriously, Bush would be in chains. The 9th and 10th amendments say that the federal government is allowed to do to us only what the Constitution says it can, which isn’t much. Washington is not allowed to establish a Federal Reserve, inflate the money supply, manipulate interest rates, sanction subprime mortgages, give military aid to foreign tyrants or propose a 190 million dollar bridges to nowhere. In the realm of economics in this country, every method except the Constitution has been tried. There are no ideologies left to try. Fascism went down in flames in the 40′s (but they kept the American Socialist Party stiff-armed salute). Socialism followed in the 80′s and 90′s. Bush and Obama have tried some form of bastardized liberalism and conservatism, whatever they mean now. Liberty is a strong word if you use it like Volney, Jefferson and Paine used it. The founders knew in several languages that political power corrupts the morals and judgement; they knew power had to be kept severely limited. It was the purpose of the Bill of Rights. We have incumbent Congressmen who have already pardoned themselves for crimes committed against the Document and citizens. Two Republican meetings ago, judges running for office were applauding with zeal that Bush was able to circumvent the Constitution. I knew the country was fucked then. After 200 years, libertarianism, with a little l, is the only ideology still standing. Clever men came up with this Document. “Created equal” is not a phrase about the equality of men. Created equal implies that every man must answer to to violations of Natural Law or Nature’s God. Power-seekers think they are immune to Natural Laws which were in place before the cooling of the earth. Leader-seekers believe that the human they conferred god-like powers upon are immune to the same Natural Laws. We can only discover or rediscover these principles. Neither party recognizes these principles in their platform because of the shackles it places on power.

fec: proof the pooch is screwed: before the entire world Obama equated prosperity with credit. He believes in his heart of drakness that an economy runs on consumer loans instead of savings. Credit stopped in this country because there were no savings to loan. Consumption follows production and credit is made possible by savings. But its his promptor and he can read anything thing from it that he believes the publicly schooled are stupid enough to believe. Bush did the same thing, but without the clarity. Obama put the dick in diction.
