From Busy Being Dumb on D2 candidate and outed GOP fool, Ryan Shell:
People in District 2 should take note of Shell’s hard work and not his pigmentation. Currently that district provides us with a council member who is living in the 60’s (racially speaking). Let’s hope the district doesn’t elect Greensboro’s version of Louis Farrakhan, as is currently rumored.
While I was feeding the cat most of my ribeye, it occurred to me that the Executive Director of the Guilford GOP is much dumber than our old nemesis and foot shooter, The Chairman.
Back then, we’d run that old coon, Kindley, until we had him trapped in some tall tree of inescapable logic. It usually started with one of his semi-literate yawns taking a predictably Christofascist stance. But our new boy, Tony, has managed at least as much offense with an economy of words not to be imagined. Indeed, Wilkins may turn out to be an idiot savant in succinct malspeak.
WTF does the Guilford GOP care who gains office in D2? My numbers indicate 9% are Republican and 21% are white. And last I heard, City Council was a non-partisan body. Oh that’s right, big stupe was offering his personal opinion, not that of a party official.
Whether through ignorance or contrivance, Wilkins has reduced the black experience, with its rich heritage and tragic history, to a matter of pigment. Disrespecting a beloved sitting City Councilwoman by accusing her of being lost in the sixties (racially speaking) is also anything but a smooth move. Finally, enraging the few D2 whites with fears of a “version of Louis Farrakhan” is tantamount to yelling fire in a theater.
As a registered Guilford County Republican, I demand a statement of apology and regret from the Executive Director to the councilwoman and citizens of D2, whether it was a personal affirmation or not.

wilkins comment is DISGUSTING and he isn’t doing his boy ryan no favors at all. The black community are already viewing him with suspicion and now it seems rightfully so.

Fec, I’m not a registered Republican, but I’m not big on apologizing for the actions of others. Leave to the foot-shooters to atone, in one way or another, for their own words and deeds.
