Groat did not dispute the fact that her company owed Pegram-West $362,000, nor did she dispute the fact that she signed a personal guaranty for $250,000 in 1989. In fact, the jury was given a copy of that document during the trial. Groat in her testimony said that since the guarantee was 20 years old and she had forgotten about it that it was not still in effect.
This would be hilarious were she not the most powerful elected official in GSO. I recently called her a disgrace. It’s worse than that: she’s an embarrassment.
If she is re-elected, we deserve her.
I’m telling you she’s been handled with kid gloves all her life because she’s a woman building houses in minority neighborhoods.
The epitaph for her career will not be so kind.

In the nearly thirty years her company, by her own suspect admission, built hundreds if not thousands of homes, was no profit put aside for a rainy day?
Was she so inattentive to her business that others swindled the proceeds?
Has the woman yet to be introduced to the concepts of cost accounting?
If even one of these suppositions is true, SAG is not fit to manage her own affairs, much less those of a thriving city.
Return the councilwoman to private life where those who care about her can offer protection in her remaining days, such as they may be.
23:00: I happen to know she’s such a cheapskate she traveled into the woods to have her hair done more cheaply. She socked it away somewhere. I sure hope it’s not in Swiss banks. UBS is bending to pressure from the IRS for disclosure.
Maybe she’s about to take a one-way trip from PTI. We could take up a collection and buy the ticket.

Sorry Fec, I didn’t mean to trivialize your post, but when I saw SAG, I started getting a visual of a too taut forehead.
It never occurred to me. I didn’t know she’d been touched up. I’d love to hear your perspective on all this.
Ask you wife if Sandra has had any work done. It must be a woman’s thing.
She definitely WILL NOT be getting my vote. She is a fence sitter who holds her finger to the wind and then base her decisions on that. The TRC situation is a prime example. To be fair, she always apologize to the constituency (that was instrumental in putting her in office) before she throws them under the bus.
People tend to vote for their self interests and base on that my perspectives will probably differ from the majority your visitors.One of the councilmembers that you go after will definitely get my vote. I hope this person will become Mayor Pro-tem.
As I have told you before you are my favorite republican in town. I might not agree with your POV, but because your view is coming from a place of rationality and not hatred and bigotry, it forces me to take a second look and step up my game. I always stick to my original POV, but you FORCE me to look at all angles.

1. I am not an attorney, but it is my understanding that a personal guarantee issued to a creditor is in full force until revoked in writing, and that all sums owed prior to such revocation are still subject to the guarantee.
2. Many people have had their businesses nosedive in a few month’s or even week’s time, and speculating that Sandra Anderson Groat has illegally hidden any money away is irresponsible.
3. I also have not been a fan of her decisions as a council member and beleive that she has had some conflicts of interest, but I refuse to gossip about her financial difficulties and wish he no ill will in that regard.
4. Ed Cone is correct in calling you to the carpet over childish personal attacks.
5. SAG showed some class by posting her address and phone number in the comment area of your previous post “Anderson Groat Disgraces Cowncil”.
