Where Are the Podcasts?

Currently, Bora‘s session is the only podcast up on ConvergeSouth.

I’m working on Elisa Camahort‘s opening session which filled up my DVR. I saw a lot of cameras and video probably isn’t necessary. But, I feel that if you are a netizen of Blogsboro and weren’t involved in presenting an event or session, then you have a moral responsibility to make sure someone records and produces a podcast of each session you attend.

I got a DVR at Radio Shack for about $40. I downloaded Audacity, plugged a cord into the DVR and into my sound card, created the project and burned the MP3. Let me know if I can help.

Fuck it. Next year, I’ll give you children DVRs and show you how to turn them on. To be such supposed great bloggers…

We need to do a lot better. And maybe we should have a special lunch for the out of town presenters who have no desire to shmooze with the locals. And no white bread for them.

The last two years a few of us repaired to Natty’s after school let out. I suggest we warn Natty’s and formally make it part of the event. I’ll be responsible. Two beers, I promise. Maybe we can bring the out of town visitors and presenters, libate and shuttle them to the dinners and hotels. I took damn good care of Kirk Ross this year. I love that guy.

The only demand I have is that Bora goes with me. Jim Buie would also be nice.

Next year, get Lenslinger to lead the talent around. He’s the best.

And thanks again to my wingman, John Delconte. I see him outside after and offer to stand everyone in earshot to a beer at Natty’s. John, from Carrboro and unaware that I’m batshit insane, climbs in beside me. I grill him and out blurt a couple of names I know very well. I assure him he cannot be in better hands. At this point (if you put your foot in that 260E, it performs very well at low speed in the city on a beautiful Saturday afternoon), this is not a ringing endorsement.

At adjournment John and his friends were on foot headed south to what their GPS said was Ganache and I warned them. John left his knapsack (no cash) in the car, so I drove south over the tracks and caught them walking north and learning more about the GPS.

I asked them on the way to Ganache if anybody needed coke or whores. Fortunately, the terrified guy now beside me from BlogAds said no. I walked them (Camahort is long winded. Unconference, not so much.) up to the patio where I asked Ed Cone for a BlogAd referral and finally met John Robinson.

I’m recording the speakers after Camahort and at this point I have no recollection of being there. My eyes may have been open, but I was asleep. My apologies for not getting the end of Soni Pitt‘s presentation.
