Here I Am, World.
I have sampled many blogs and am finally ready to attempt my own. Its purpose, while informative, should be confessional and amusing. These are my aims.
Who am I? I have no idea.
If I am whom I love, then I am a 44 year old male, with a wonderful wife and two spoiled cats.
If I am what I do, then I am a Microsoft Visual FoxPro database developer working mostly for a handful of small Property/Casualty Insurance companies.
If I am where I live, then I live in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA, Earth, Milky Way, Universe.
If I am my politics, then I am a moderate conservative. Rush Limbaugh hates our kind the most, because we have no heart-felt opinions. Indeed, I am full of questions and have few answers. The older I get, the less I am sure of.
If I am my hobbies, then I play guitar and make beer. I run my business out of an old house which I haven’t been renovating for nearly twenty years.
If I am my activities, then I cook dinner and/or workout several times a week.
If I am my vices, then I watch too much TV, and play too much Battlefield 1942. I don’t do enough for my wife. I do too much for the cats.
We don’t have children, so we are not involved in the goings on with the School Board. We pity you who are.
My wife has a 97 grandmother and spends as much time with her as she can. This is a never ending source of guilt for her. She recently helped her twin sister successfully battle cancer.
I am in awe of my wife. I try to be “The Wind Beneath Her Sheets.”
